Golf

Golf is a game of individuality, even though it can be
played with a group of people. The object of the game is to
hit a small ball into a small hole from a great distance
away, and many people love it. The game is played on a
piece of land that is especially designed to play golf on
with a series of nine or eighteen holes.

Holes are of course in the ground but in golf it is also
the distance from the tee to where the ball is hit. The
Green is an island of grass around the hole and this is
where all players want to be.

The grass is very well taken care of on a golf fairway
and is kept very short to allow the ball to roll
effortlessly over it. The object of the game is for the
player to hit the ball into the hole with as few strokes
as possible, when the player hits the ball into the hole,
he or she has completed that hole and will move on to
the next one.

Golf is not an easy game, and it takes much more than just
hitting a little ball into a hole to play the game right.
There are also many hazards on golf courses such as sand
traps, ponds, trees and woods and so on. Players who hit
the ball in these areas have to hit the ball where it has
landed so they try to avoid the areas as much as possible.
If the ball can't be played from where it is, it can be
moved to a better location but it will cost that player and
one stroke penalty. Another rule when a player hits the
ball into a hazard is that their club cannot touch the
ground before hitting the ball, not even for a practice
swing.

A par is the number of strokes an expert golfer takes
before getting the ball into the hole and is usually
classified by its par. Par three holes can range in
distance from 100 to 224 meters while par four holes go
from 225 to 434 meters. A five par usually has a distance
of 435 meters or more. Golf is a very popular game and it's
estimated that almost everyone has at least played putt
putt golf at least once in their lives.
